We are seeking an energetic person to assist us with Accounts and payroll duties. The role will suit a person with excellent communication skills, attention to detail and is highly organised. This is an opportunity to join a busy and supportive team in our Sydney office.

The Role:
  • Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions.
  • Process invoices, expense claims, and payments in a timely manner.
  • Reconcile payments received with outstanding invoices.
  • Prepare payments to vendors.
  • Perform Credit Checks.
  • Assist with Accounts Receivable.
  • Assist on the preparation for payroll on a weekly basis.
  • Ensuring all candidate profiles are completed ready for each payroll, including walking candidates through the profile and payroll process.
  • Chasing outstanding timesheets where needed with clients, ensuring they are approved for each payroll.
  • Monitoring the Payroll inbox on Outlook and responding to email queries accordingly.
  • Process client billing and generating invoices to clients.
  • Attend phone queries related to Payroll when required.
  • Assist Finance Controller and Payroll Officer with general requests.
  • Any other ad-hoc duties where required.
Attributes we are looking for:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proactive, high integrity and a team player
  • Experience with Xero
  • Demonstrated proficiency of Microsoft office suite and Outlook
  • Ability to learn different software programs
  • Ability to prioritise workload
  • Strong attention to detail
  • 2 years accounting experience preferred but not essential
