Our client, a well-respected regional business, is seeking a full-time Branch Manager to oversee the operation of their Forbes store. This is a key leadership position requiring someone who is highly organized, task-oriented, and passionate about delivering exceptional customer service. As Branch Manager, you will be responsible for managing a team and driving growth across various areas of the store.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and supervise the store team, ensuring high standards of customer service and performance.
  • Manage stock levels, customer orders, and ensure timely stock transfers between branches.
  • Serve customers, offering expert product advice and assistance.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships and handle customer complaints.
  • Coordinate training for staff, focusing on product knowledge and customer experience.
  • Manage debtors and monitor the health of account customers.
  • Conduct regular stock takes and maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Liaise with key suppliers and representatives.
  • Implement marketing campaigns and sales promotions.
  • Maintain store and yard safety, cleanliness, and presentation.
  • Ensure daily balancing of cash and EFTPOS takings.
Key Requirements:
  • Strong focus on customer service and providing a superior customer experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a retail sales environment, with leadership experience.
  • Proficient in administrative tasks, including computer and mobile technology skills (e.g. Microsoft Outlook, POS systems, accounts).
  • Current driver’s license.
Desirable (but not essential):
  • Forklift license.
  • Experience working with trade customers, or in the steel and industrial supplies industries.
  • Stock management and merchandising experience.
  • Current first aid certification.
Position Details: This is a salaried role, with remuneration based on the successful candidate’s skills and experience. The role offers flexible work hours based on branch needs, with the typical schedule being Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:30pm, and every second Saturday from 8:00am to 12:00pm.
The Forbes branch operates from 7:00am to 5:30pm Monday to Friday, and 8:00am to 12:00pm on Saturdays.
