Job description

This Role:This role involves managing direct key accounts and overseeing local distributor relationships while supporting fragrance collection management and development. The successful candidate will work closely with regional teams on strategic business growth initiatives, aligning with marketing, consumer insights, and innovation teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Sales Growth & Management: Drive sales growth in the fragrance and cosmetics sectors across Australia and New Zealand.

  • Business Development: Identify segment needs, set targets, and prioritize actions to acquire new business.

  • Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key contacts across brand marketing, R&D, innovation, procurement, supply chain, and material planning teams.

  • Project Management: Lead project teams through the brief-to-adoption process to meet business objectives, collaborating with perfumers, fragrance development experts, and marketing professionals.
  • Gross and Commercial Margins Protection: Ensure the profitability of the fragrance and cosmetics segments in line with business guidelines.

  • Innovation and Strategy: Collaborate with regional teams on innovation initiatives and growth strategies for the fragrance and cosmetics segments.

  • Marketing and Consumer Insight Collaboration: Partner with regional marketing and consumer insight teams to strengthen segment performance.

  • Fragrance Collection Management: Oversee fragrance collections and drive adoption in line with service-level agreements.

  • Market Analysis: Stay informed on market developments, including regulatory updates, competition, price levels, new ingredients, and distribution channels.

  • Strategic Account Planning: Define and implement strategic account plans, translating them into financial goals and holding accountability for top-line profit.

  • Distributor Management: Support and manage local distributor activities, including regular joint customer visits to ensure sustained growth.

  • Industry Engagement: Foster strong relationships with regulatory bodies, industry associations, and academic institutions within the personal care and cosmetics sectors.
To be successful: 

Experience: Minimum of 5 years as a Marketing, Brand, R&D, or Account Manager, ideally within the fragrance or related industries.
  
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Marketing, Chemistry, or a related field.
  
Industry Knowledge: In-depth understanding of fine fragrances and premium home fragrances is essential.

  • Proven capability to work independently and lead cross-functional teams within a multicultural environment.

Travel Requirement: Willingness and ability to travel internationally as needed.
