Job description
Our client is a leader in marine construction and environmental dredging in South Australia, looking for skilled Marine Dredge Operators to join their team.
This role requires flexibility and a willingness to work around weather conditions, tidal movements, and shipping schedules, including night shifts and weekends as needed. You will have a strong commitment to safety with a willingness to take initiative and get the job done.

What you will be doing
- 2:1 roster, 10 hour days, paid for 38hrs on R&R
- Ongoing projects across regional SA, DIDO
- Occasional work in local workshops when not working away
- Operate and maintain dredging equipment - cutter suction and backhoe dredges
- Assist with pre-operation checks of all equipment and systems, including storm anchors, navigation lights, seacocks, inverters, bilge pumps, and winch locks
- Inspect and maintain the integrity of dredge piping systems, performing necessary repairs to ensure safe and efficient operation
- Ensure pipeline safety by actively monitoring vessel traffic and taking precautions to prevent collisions or interference
- Complete accurate water quality testing and recording each shift
- Monitor and maintain anchor barge tender equipment and fuel supplies
- General routine maintenance
- AMSA Certified Coxswain 1NC certification with no restrictions. (First aid included in this, must be current)
- Drivers licence
- Construction White Card
- Access to own transport
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and a drug and alcohol screen.
