About the Company

With a strong pipeline of projects and continued growth, they are now seeking an experienced Estimator to join their team and play a pivotal role in driving project success.

The Opportunity
Reporting directly to the senior leadership team, you’ll be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates for a variety of fabrication and structural steel projects. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Estimator to join a reputable business that values expertise, teamwork, and quality craftsmanship.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyse project plans, drawings, and specifications to develop detailed cost estimates
  • Prepare material take-offs and calculate labour requirements
  • Source and negotiate pricing from suppliers and subcontractors
  • Prepare and submit clear, comprehensive quotes and tender documents
  • Work closely with project managers and production teams to ensure estimates align with project budgets
  • Engage with clients to clarify project requirements and explore value-engineered solutions
  • Stay current with industry developments, materials, and fabrication methods
  • Contribute to the ongoing improvement of estimation tools and processes
About You
  • Demonstrated experience as an Estimator within metal fabrication, structural steel, or related industries
  • Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade highly regarded
  • Strong understanding of fabrication processes, materials, and industry standards
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and project specifications
  • Proficiency in estimation software and MS Office 
  • Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
  • Team-oriented with a proactive and flexible approach
