About the Role
AWMA is seeking a Finance Manager with proven experience in a fast-paced, mid-tier manufacturing environment to lead financial operations and support strategic growth. Reporting to the General Manager, this role is vital to maintaining AWMA’s financial health and driving key initiatives.
  
The successful candidate will oversee financial processes, guide the finance team, and contribute directly to AWMA’s ongoing success. We highly value experience in similar environments and are seeking someone with hands-on expertise in end-to-end financial management. This includes collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams and maintaining a strong focus on monitoring and managing unit and labor costs. Experience in mid-tier manufacturing financial management, particularly in maintaining cash flow, profitability, and reporting through departmental collaboration, is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and develop the finance team to deliver robust financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting in a fast-paced design, manufacture environment.
• Provide strategic input to guide business direction, ensuring fiscally sound decisions across all departments.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, manage audits, and maintain effective internal controls.
• Streamline and improve financial processes, using ERP (Epicor) for enhanced efficiency and accuracy.
• Collaborate across departments, linking finance with operations to support high-performance and sustainable financial outcomes.

Key Selection Criteria:

• Be willing and ready to relocate to regional Victoria for the position. Cohuna, Echuca or similar areas. This is not a remote position. 
• Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; ideal but not essential.
• 7-10 years of financial management experience, within an Australian manufacturing, FMCG or project-based environment. Please mention KPI’s you would generally measure in the roles you have performed.
• Experience in end-to-end financial management, you will need to demonstrate proficiency in all areas of financial management, or a plan to close any gaps you have.
• Strong ERP system management skills, ideally with Epicor or mid-tier ERP systems.
• In-depth knowledge of financial reporting, compliance, and regulatory standards.
• Proven leadership abilities with a hands-on, collaborative approach to guiding and developing a high-performing team.
• Exceptional analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey financial insights across all levels.
