Seeking an experienced Fire Technician based in Darwin to work in a Permanent Full-time role with multi-site responsibility

- Based with a large organisation with great potential for career progression in the future
- Permanent Full-time Position - Monday till Friday 7:30am till 4pm (Early on a Friday - 2:30pm)
- Supporting a large contract in the resource sector, along with some smaller contracts and remote sites
- The role covers the entire Northern Territory, they also provide a “Bush Service” – where they run contracts in Regional NT from the Northern QLD border, Katherine, right down past Alice Springs – it’s a road trip of testing fire systems and checking fire extinguishers
- Inspect, test, maintain, service and install all Wet Fire Systems and Fire Fighting Equipment to AS1851-2012 and/or OEM
- Conduct routine inspection and serving of Portable Fire Systems and equipment
- Installation of Portable Fire Systems and equipment
- Assist in preparation of customer quotations and identifying remedial work
- Liaise directly with client regarding service work
- Conduct facility maintenance
- Commit to workplace safety and good work practice
- 2-5 years’ experience within the Fire Industry
- 1-3 years’ experience in testing and service
- Cert 3 in Electrotechnology
- FPAS Accreditation (Desirable)
- White Card (General Construction Induction Card)
- Ability to carry out inspection on fire equipment to AS 1851
- Basic knowledge of AS1851, AS1668, AS1670, AS2220, ASS009 and AS3000
- Ability to program would be optimal, as there is currently a large gap in that skill set within the team, also happy with a decent tester who is able to test panels
- Current Drivers License
- Must be happy to travel
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships
- Must be able to secure a Police Clearance
- Must be able to pass a standard pre-employment medical and pass drug and alcohol screening
