Job description
AUSTCORP are recruiting for an experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic where you will be maintaining a fleet of specialised plant and equipment. Reporting to the head mechanic you will be responsible for the servicing of the company’s plant such as heavy vehicles, sprayers, pavers, loaders, and rollers.

Responsibilities
- Performing all preventive maintenance activities and scheduled servicing on vehicles and equipment.
- Repairs to equipment either in the workshop or onsite at a breakdown location.
- Locate any additional faults in equipment outside of requested service or repair
- Repair faulty or damaged mechanical parts
- Record accurately the job details in computer system
- Working to meet short sharp deadlines under minimal supervision.
- Trade qualifications in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanics or Engineering in Mechanical Trade, with experience as a qualified Mechanic
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Previous experience in providing maintenance and repairs to heavy equipment in the civil industry – Heavy vehicles, Graders, Loaders, Mixers, Rollers, Spreaders etc.
- Current Drivers Licence - HR Licence or above Highly Regarded
- Construction Induction Card
- Forklift, EWP, Working at Heights, Confined Space Highly Regarded
