The Role:
This role will be reporting to the Plant Manager which will be part of a collaborative team passionate about ensuring a strong Workplace Health, Safety and Environmental culture.
Reporting directly to the HSE Manager, this role has the accountabilities to:
- Liaise with H&S Team to develop, implement and maintain systems designed to prevent workplace injury and illness including - Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment and Control
- Induction and specific H&S training
- Accident and near miss investigations and reports
- Develop, implement, and enforce OH&S and Workers Compensation policies
- Provide a monthly site plant safety report to the Group H&S Manager
- Maintain site safety data and statistics in an orderly and secure fashion
- Conduct regular and continuous safety inspections of the plant each day or shift, focusing on behaviour and work practices of employees
Skills and experience:
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role within FMCG environment.
- Risk Management and competition of risk assessments. Incident reports and completing incident investigations.
- Completed Tertiary Qualifications in Health & Safety
- Strong written & verbal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels
- The ability to work independently and consistently and in a team environment
