My client is a leading supplier of hydronic and electric underfloor heating systems in Australia. They specialise in providing high quality heating solutions to our clients with a strong reputation for exceptional service and technical expertise.
They are seeking a skilled and experienced Air Conditioning Technician looking to get off the tools and join our team as our Technical Manager

As the Technical Manager you will play a crucial role in the company's operation by providing technical support for our products and installations. Your background in HVAC will give you sound base for you to learn all the aspects of electric and hydronic heating, including design, installation and support. We will provide you with the training to give you the skills to perform these tasks. This position will mostly be located at our office but will require some site vists and/or service calls

Responsibilities

• Be involved with the design and detailing of electric and hydronic heating systems. Selection and sizing of components, drawing of electrical and hydronic schematics, Hydronic CAD design.
• Diagnose and trouble shoot mechanical and electrical issues with hydronic heat pumps and boilers with our customers and installers. Generally this is done via phone and occasionally through site visits.
• Service support of electric floor heating products including thermostat replacement, fault location and repair of heating cables
• Maintain accurate records of technical support calls, service calls, equipment repair and warranty parts.

Requirements
• Proven experience as an HVAC Service Technician
• Solid knowledge of air conditioning systems including controls, inverter systems.
• Proficient in diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical issues in a HVAC system
• Strong understanding of refrigeration principles, heat load calculations and system controls.
• Excellent problem solving skills with the ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
• Outstanding customer service and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information to other technicians and non-technical customers.
• Computer Proficiency (MS Office)
• Construction Induction Safety Certificate (White Card)
• Valid NSW driver's licence with good driving record.
• Relevant Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Trade qualification suitable to obtain a NSW Qualified Supervisor Certificate.
