A nationally recognised food company is currently looking for a highly motivated and personable NPD Manager to join the New Product Development team based in Berowra. The company operates in many locations across Australia. The company’s success has resulted in an excellent opportunity for a highly capable NPD Manager, who will be a key part of the team and responsible for developing new and innovative products. This position will work closely with five direct reports.

The role:

The role:
- Reporting to the Head of NPD, the NPD manager is responsible for conducting new product research and for developing new product concepts for certain customers/clients.
- Conduct R&D trials, both internally and with customers, collate and analyse data from the results.
- Maintain technical expertise in sourcing, purchasing and understanding ingredients.
- Keep abreast of food market trends, new packaging formats and technologies, as well as equipment to ensure a competitive advantage.
- Work with the Process Engineers to ensure the feasibility of product launches and ensure benefit to the business.
- Prepare customer presentations, sample preparation and new product testing.
- Qualifications in Food Science or equivalent.
- Around 5+ years previous experience in a similar role.
- Exceptional communication skills and stakeholder management experience.
- Strong interest in food and new product development in the fresh produce space.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisation skills.
- Above Market Salary depending on your experience, salary banding between $100k to $115k + super depending on experience.
- Training and continuous improvement will be provided to the successful candidate.
