The Business
AustCorp Executive is working in partnership with a leading engineering consultancy. The company specialises in project management and executing large-scale industrial projects across various sectors, including oil & gas, mining and renewable energy.
  
The role we are recruiting for is a Power Systems Engineer. This person will be responsible for conceptual and detailed design, power system modelling and studies as well as commissioning support for the HV systems.

The Role
  • Working on all aspects of electrical scope of work across all phases of projects including conceptual Studies, FEED, detailed design and procurement through to commissioning.
  • Design HV & LV generation, distribution, reticulation and control systems.
  • Deliver power system studies including earth grid performance studies, load flow, fault levels, protection coordination and dynamic / transient system analysis.
  • Detailed design of secondary control and protection systems.
  • Provide guidance, coach and mentor engineers across the discipline
  
The Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or higher degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years proven technical experience.
  • Extensive and proven technical experience in designing electrical systems for large scale installations across various industrial sectors.
  • Demonstrated understanding of power system modelling with proficiency in electrical design and simulation tools such as SKM PTW, ETap, DigSilent PowerFactory, PSCAD, CYMCAP, CDEGS, etc.
