Job description

The Opportunity:

Leading home building company are now looking to add to their estimating team with a production estimator who will work on their home building projects including major lifestyle villages on the commercial side. 

Key Responsibilities of the Production Estimating role:
  • Provide and produce an accurate bill of quantities and purchase orders
  • Accurate estimates of jobs including variations
  • Produce accurate construction budgets and orders that are clearly documented within budgeted time frames. 
  • Obtain relevant quotes and pricing
  • Offer technical support to team members
  • Complete set tasks and achieve job targets
  • Maintain organised files and appropriate documentation of completed work
  • Utilise estimating systems to the full capacity to ensure job/time efficiencies
  • Checking construction related documentations
  • Estimating the job from start to finish
  • Sending out orders for the job
  • Actioning Variations
  • Provide support to Construction/Admin team
  • Liaising with clients and trades
Role Requirements:
  • A minimum of 2-3 years production estimating experience with a home building company
  • Intermediate to Advanced level experience and skills using Databuild with your estimating work
  • Experience working with leading estimating software packages
  • Strong time management and organisational skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
  • A proven track record within the home building industry
  • Strong team player
  • Able to meet deadlines
