The Project Engineer in Sydney will oversee and coordinate a variety of water infrastructure projects, ensuring their successful completion within the defined scope, budget, and timeline.

About the role
The Project Engineer in Sydney will oversee and coordinate a variety of water infrastructure projects, ensuring their successful completion within the defined scope, budget, and timeline.
Skills needed
- 1 year Experience in a municipal project environment.
- High level of computer literacy, including proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other similar applications.
- Skilled in using project management software and tools, such as Microsoft Project.
- Ability to read and interpret civil layout, mechanical, and process drawings.
- In-depth knowledge of water infrastructure systems, including treatment plants, pipelines, and distribution networks.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
- Outstanding written communication skills, capable of creating process descriptions, operating instructions, and project management plans without grammatical errors.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Manage and oversee all phases of assigned water infrastructure projects from initiation to completion.
- Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, vendors, and external stakeholders to ensure project requirements are fulfilled.
- Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets, monitoring progress against established targets.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to minimize project risks.
- Prepare and review engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Provide technical support and guidance to project team members and subcontractors.
- Oversee fabrication and site installation works.
- Assume various responsibilities in process commissioning, training, and handover.
- Collaborate with regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Conduct site inspections and assurance checks to ensure the work meets specifications and standards.
- Manage project budgets, track expenses, and prepare regular financial reports.
- Communicate project status, milestones, and issues to stakeholders through regular meetings and reports.
