About the role
The Project Engineer in Sydney will oversee and coordinate a variety of water infrastructure projects, ensuring their successful completion within the defined scope, budget, and timeline. 

Skills needed 
  • 1 year Experience in a municipal project environment. 
  • High level of computer literacy, including proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other similar applications.
  • Skilled in using project management software and tools, such as Microsoft Project.
  • Ability to read and interpret civil layout, mechanical, and process drawings.
  • In-depth knowledge of water infrastructure systems, including treatment plants, pipelines, and distribution networks.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
  • Outstanding written communication skills, capable of creating process descriptions, operating instructions, and project management plans without grammatical errors.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Job responsibilities 
  • Manage and oversee all phases of assigned water infrastructure projects from initiation to completion.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, vendors, and external stakeholders to ensure project requirements are fulfilled.
  • Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets, monitoring progress against established targets.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to minimize project risks.
  • Prepare and review engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to project team members and subcontractors.
  • Oversee fabrication and site installation works.
  • Assume various responsibilities in process commissioning, training, and handover.
  • Collaborate with regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Conduct site inspections and assurance checks to ensure the work meets specifications and standards.
  • Manage project budgets, track expenses, and prepare regular financial reports.
  • Communicate project status, milestones, and issues to stakeholders through regular meetings and reports.
