Job description
Position Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Purchasing and Logistics Sales Representative to join our dynamic team within the raw materials distribution industry. This role involves managing procurement activities, optimizing supply chain operations, and building strong relationships with suppliers and customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Purchasing and Procurement
- Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with reliable suppliers of raw materials.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and delivery terms to ensure cost-effective procurement.
- Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels in line with business requirements.
- Utilize SAP to manage procurement processes, track purchase orders, and maintain accurate records.
- Logistics Coordination
- Oversee the end-to-end logistics process, including shipping, warehousing, and delivery of materials.
- Work closely with freight forwarders and transportation providers to ensure timely delivery.
- Resolve logistical challenges and ensure compliance with local and international trade regulations.
- Sales and Customer Engagement
- Collaborate with the sales team to understand client requirements and provide tailored solutions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to enhance satisfaction and loyalty.
- Data Management and Reporting
- Use SAP to generate reports, analyze purchasing and logistics data, and identify trends.
- Provide insights and recommendations for improving supply chain efficiency and reducing costs.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in purchasing, logistics, or sales within the raw materials or related industry.
- Proficiency in SAP is essential, with a strong understanding of procurement and logistics modules.
- Excellent negotiation, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with suppliers, customers, and internal teams.
- Knowledge of import/export regulations and documentation is a plus.
