About the Role:

Based in the Jacana area, the site is highly automated, sophisticated and equipped to global best practice. You will assist other sites around Australia with advice on Quality standards and practices. You will be responsible for maintaining the systems on site such as Environmental, Food Safety and Quality.

Reporting directly to the Environment manager on site, you will focus on the Quality Management System, audits and HACCP plan. Also ensure the company’s Quality Audit standards are carried out.

Key accountabilities include:

• Continue the corporate risk and assurance programs such as the Food/QA management, environmental and sustainability systems. 
• Ensure these systems meet legislation, customer standards, and internal standards.
• Assist with preparation and communication of ISO14001 and Environmental Risk Assessments.
• Ensure quality control procedures are achieved and also a view of reviewing and improving the HACCP plan.
• Training to Site staff will also be required. 

 The successful applicant will possess:

• Tertiary qualifications in quality, food science or similar.
• Substantial experience as a Systems specialist or Environmental systems experience preferably within a food manufacturing environment.
• An understanding of Coles, YUM, BRC, AIB,  HACCP systems and ISO standards.
• Sound knowledge of all food laws and regulations including audit-level experience of Quality and Food Safety Management Systems.
• Works well in a team but also autonomously, reporting and communication skills are excellent.
