About the role:
Playing a key role in managing and coordinating documentation, procedures, training, and best practices for Safety, Health, Environment, and Security.
  
Acting as a resource for the Site Manager, this position also collaborates with Managers and Supervisors on-site to deliver training, clarify requirements, and ensure adherence to established standards.

Responsibilities: 
  • Upholds and exemplifies all company Safety, Health, Environment (SHE), and Security Requirements, Standards, and Guidelines.
  • Promotes safety awareness and accident prevention in all activities, ensuring tasks are performed with a safety-first mindset.
  • Adheres to SHE standards and actively encourages colleagues to do the same.
  • Keeps assigned areas clean and safe, promptly addressing any hazards or maintaining tidiness.
  • Maintains and enforces SHE and Security procedures.
  • Ensures Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) are up-to-date for both ongoing and new activities.
  • Assists in the creation and execution of the site-specific SHE and Security Plan.
  • Contributes to the development of the annual SHE Budget by providing relevant input.
  • Delivers SHE and Security training sessions as requested by the Site Manager.
  • Coaches and mentors line supervisors, enhancing their capability to lead and reinforce SHE initiatives effectively.
  • Supports projects by reviewing plans and specifications as directed by the Site Manager and assists project owners in completing Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSRs).
  • Participates in investigations of safety incidents and near misses to reduce recurrence, preparing detailed incident reports and sharing lessons learned.
  • Engages in safety and process safety risk assessments, actively supporting and contributing to the evaluation process.
Qualifications:
  • Currently completing or nearing completion of tertiary education in a safety-related discipline.
  • Candidates without completed qualifications must demonstrate a commitment to pursuing a tertiary course in safety.
  • Willingness to obtain certifications in Process Safety, SafeStart, and Continuous Improvement programs.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Designed as an entry-level position in SHE and Security, this role offers an ideal foundation for career development. Prior experience in a manufacturing environment, especially in a role involving the application of safety protocols, is considered a valuable asset.
