About the Role
The first Sales Estimator Hire of a growing commercial construction company, this is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Sales Estimator to step into a key role within their team. You'll be instrumental in shaping the success of diverse projects by providing accurate and competitive estimates, engaging with stakeholders, and refining processes for efficiency and accuracy.

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: $90k - $110k + Super
Location: Melbourne, VIC

About the Role
The first Sales Estimator Hire of a growing commercial construction company, this is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Sales Estimator to step into a key role within their team. You'll be instrumental in shaping the success of diverse projects by providing accurate and competitive estimates, engaging with stakeholders, and refining processes for efficiency and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough analysis of project plans, specifications, and subcontractor quotes to define scope and requirements
- Prepare detailed take-offs, tender estimates, and competitive bids in line with budget and timelines
- Drive process improvements to enhance estimating precision and efficiency
- Collaborate closely with project teams, subcontractors, and clients for smooth project execution
- Represent the company at pre- and post-tender meetings, addressing client queries confidently
- Ensure all work adheres to Australian Building Standards and industry best practices
- Demonstrated experience in commercial construction estimating, particularly within industrial and retail sectors
- Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, materials, and labour costs
- Proficiency in industry-standard estimating software
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and time-management abilities
- Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal
- A collaborative spirit with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Relevant qualifications in construction or engineering (highly desirable)
