Job description

The successful candidate will be responsible for pricing and selling products, understanding the technical aspects of our business, and providing expert advice to customers.

Additionally, you will manage pre-mix tenders and pricing. This role offers significant exposure to a variety of products and ample opportunities for career advancement.

About the role
  • Responsible for establishing and executing sales targets, including innovation sales, for the designated customer portfolio. This portfolio encompasses both new customers who are not currently purchasing from the company and the expansion of sales to existing clients.
  • Manage the assigned customer accounts effectively.
  • Develop and implement tailored Performance Solutions and Essential product plans.
  • Work closely with the Head of Sales and General Manager to identify and cultivate new business opportunities for Performance Solutions and Essential products among customers.
Responsibilities:

Account Management
  • Establish strong customer relationships, while developing commercial opportunities and value propositions.
  • Develop and maintain account plans for assigned customers.  Maintaining account plans and opportunity development through CRM.

Marketing knowledge and insights:
  • Stay updated on product and technical advancements within the industry, including competitor product launches and applications.
  • Stay informed about technical literature and the feasibility of incorporating new raw materials into premixes for business opportunities by attending presentations, seminars, and training sessions on new materials.
Authorities:
  • Responsible for making commercial decisions regarding pricing and product supply.
To be Successful: 
  • Tertiary qualification, such as a Bachelor’s degree in Animal Nutrition, Science, or a related field is required.
  • At least 5 years of experience in the Australian animal stockfeed, production, feed additive, or premix industry in Oceania, ideally in a technical or marketing role.
  • Strong technical and practical knowledge of animal nutrition and feed formulation across various species.
  • Familiarity with quality systems such as ISO, HACCP, GMP+, or FAMI-QS.
  • Experience with SAP is preferred.
