I am partnering with an ASX listed Engineering & Technology company to recruit a Senior Control Systems Engineer. This company has an extensive portfolio in the Mining, Renewables & Resource sectors, globally. This role would be based in Adelaide, SA - working specifically with their Mining & Renewables projects.
  
Your main objective will be to work collaboratively with our project teams to deliver exceptional value through the delivery and optimization of our customers’ industrial & mineral processes by design and application of various advanced automation and process control technologies.

The day-to-day operations will include the following:  

• Model predictive control, machine learning and data analytics, expert systems
• Design advanced control solutions, including control strategies, and implement our technologies to optimize process plant performance
• Design, test and commission PLC, SCADA and DCS systems
• Lead the team and project on and off-site from conceptualisation through to completion
• Configure and tune multivariable predictive controller loops parameters
• Work with the client, control specialists, process and instrumentation engineers to optimise the process plants functionality
• Provide commissioning and start-up support
• Evaluate operating processes to identify areas for potential improvement

Skillset and experience required:  

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, controls, software, computer or process engineering; or engineering physics
• Between 6-8 years’ of industry experience in process control and/or automation design, configuration, and troubleshooting
• Exposure in the Australian mining/mineral processing industry
• Demonstrated experience with a variety of PLC/SCADA and DCS systems from design through to commissioning
