AustCorp Executive is working in partnership with a leading consultancy in the energy sector. The company specialises in project management and executing complex projects in Australia and internationally.
  
The role we are recruiting for is a Senior Power Systems Engineer. This person will be responsible for power system modelling and studies as well as grid connection support.

The Role

• Deliver high quality power systems studies for projects, working closely with developers, investors, NSPs and AEMO.
• Provide expert project management and support across a range of projects.
• Offer expert guidance on regulations, strategy, and technical solutions to address complex challenges in power systems and energy.
• Deliver power system studies including load flow, fault levels, network impact studies, system strength studies and grid connections compliance.
• Develop business opportunities by establishing external network in many contexts, such as through client contacts.
• Provide guidance, coach and mentor engineers across the discipline

The Requirements

• Bachelor’s or higher degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years proven technical experience.
• Demonstrated understanding of power system modelling with proficiency in electrical design and simulation tools such as SKM PTW, ETap, DigSilent PowerFactory, PSCAD, CYMCAP, CDEGS, etc.
• Project management capabilities and experience with energy systems and technologies.
• Stakeholder negotiations experience to ensure successful project completion.
• Experience and exposure working with network/ distribution NSPs, knowledge of the NER.
• Experience with AEMO connections and GPS studies will be advantageous.
