The Role:
I am seeking a driven Senior Product Manager to champion my client's product portfolio and drive new product development. As a key member of the marketing team, you will:
  • Conduct thorough local and global market analysis to identify opportunities and build a pipeline of innovative products aligned with the brand strategy.
  • Undertake comprehensive quarterly portfolio and competitive analysis, recommending product updates, deletions, and additions to optimize performance and align with business goals. Track competitor activity and provide data-driven insights for decision-making.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Marketing and Trade Marketing Coordinator to develop and execute impactful quarterly promotional plans for the product portfolio.
  • Oversee and support the development of comprehensive go-to-market plans for all NPDs, ensuring alignment across all channels, including Banner Groups and Ambassador Stores.
  • Achieve sales targets for NPD products within the first 12 months of launch and maintain healthy gross margins for both new and existing products, actively participating in cost negotiations.
  • Work with the Head of Marketing on process improvement, reporting on NPD and product management issues and opportunities, and ensuring all core documents are maintained within the required systems.
  • Review and evaluate the Doctor Detailing program for all products quarterly, providing recommendations for improvement.
Key Challenges:
  • Developing a data-driven new product pipeline.
  • Delivering impactful quarterly portfolio analysis reports, making data-driven product management recommendations.
  • Delivering effective quarterly promotional plans for the product portfolio, maximizing the impact of all marketing initiatives.
About You:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Marketing or Business preferred.
  • 3-5+ years of brand/product management experience in OTC, complementary health medicines, or FMCG (highly regarded).
  • Sound knowledge of product, brand attributes, and consumer trends.
  • OTC portfolio experience, including an understanding of the TGA.
  • Product launch and NPD experience is essential.
  • Above and below-the-line marketing experience required.
  • Exposure to reporting tools (e.g., BI Reports, IRI-Aztec).
  • Strong analytical, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-starting, able to work with limited supervision, and actively seeks new challenges.
