Job Title: Senior Structural Steel Estimator

National leading Steel and Heavy Fabrication company specialising in large-scale projects across various sectors. With a monthly steel turnover ranging from 500 to 1,000 tones, we are dedicated to delivering high-quality fabrication services that meet the demands of our clients.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Structural Steel Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in structural steel estimation, with at least 10 years of relevant experience. This role requires the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while collaborating effectively with various teams to ensure accuracy and efficiency in estimating.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare detailed and accurate estimates for structural steel projects, including material quantities and labour costs.
  • Analyse project drawings, specifications, and scope of work to determine accurate pricing.
  • Collaborate with engineering and project management teams to ensure alignment on project specifications and requirements.
  • Review and assess bids from subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing.
  • Utilise Tekla software for 3D modelling and quantity take-offs.
  • Manage multiple estimation projects and prioritise tasks to meet deadlines.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in structural steel estimation.
  • Proficiency in Tekla software for structural modelling and estimating.
  • Strong understanding of structural steel materials, fabrication, and construction processes.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • A degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
