About the role:
We are looking for a proactive and experienced Service Supervisor to manage service and repair activities and lead our workshop staff. In this role, you'll coordinate paperwork for incoming service and repairs, prioritize jobs in consultation with the Operations Manager, and provide advice on service and repair quotations. You'll maintain accurate records, file reports, and perform data entry as per procedures.
You'll also supervise and support workshop staff, ensuring smooth daily operations, and sometimes get on the tools yourself to assist with service, rental, and workshop functions.

You'll also supervise and support workshop staff, ensuring smooth daily operations, and sometimes get on the tools yourself to assist with service, rental, and workshop functions.
Responsibilities:
- Address customer queries and requests promptly and efficiently.
- Promote and enforce a zero-incident safety culture within the team, particularly in fieldwork.
- Log jobs into the workshop system using iScala and generate job cards as needed.
- Prioritize tasks in consultation with the Manager, and handle service and hire quotations and billing.
- Manage invoicing schedules, credit applications, supplier requests, and warranty claims.
- Interpret equipment inspection data from fitters and input repair quotations into iScala.
- Collaborate with the Coordinator to inform customers of any delays due to spare part shortages, ensuring timely receipt of parts by working with warehouse staff.
- Finalize iScala processing for completed repairs and record details in relevant spreadsheets, then file job cards.
- Provide clear, accurate, and timely advice to staff and customers on service-related issues, both verbally and in writing.
- Coordinate and perform service and emergency work on pumps and associated equipment at customer sites and in the workshop.
- Ensure the Service Fleet is properly maintained and ready to meet customer needs swiftly.
- Lead toolbox talks involving service and workshop personnel.
- Maintain the workshop in a safe, clean, and organized manner, ensuring all equipment and tools meet required standards.
- Uphold compliance with QA and EHS systems to foster a safe working environment.
- Perform other duties as required to support the service department's efficiency.
- At least 3 years of experience in a trade or maintenance support environment
- Proven experience in a service supervisory role, with knowledge of business management principles
- Strong understanding of the pump industry
- A valid driver’s license is essential
