Job Description
- Develop market awareness for the assigned product portfolio.
- Demonstrate high proficiency in product knowledge and offer clinical support.
- Engage in clinical, procedural, and technical discussions, aligning customer outcomes with key product features.
- Ensure sales operations within the region are running smoothly, meeting budget and sales goals, while adhering to marketing campaigns and promotions.
- Build strategic relationships with key opinion leaders to grow market share in the relevant medical and surgical categories.
- Support key account colleagues in managing key client relationships.
- Foster collaboration within the team to create a diverse workplace where everyone can contribute to organizational goals.
- Keep the organisation’s vision and values at the forefront of decision-making.
- Leverage technical and professional knowledge to drive innovation and product adoption.
- Develop short- to long-term plans for achieving objectives, including input on forecasting and financial needs.
- Arrange appointments with medical professionals (doctors, surgeons, theatre staff, biomedical engineers, and procurement teams) to educate them on the company’s product offerings.
- Stay informed about industry trends, adapting strategies to mitigate any potential challenges and discussing trends with key customers.
- Deliver presentations to medical staff in surgical and clinical settings, including in-person presentations or conferences.
- Organise conferences, workshops, and training labs for surgeons and medical staff.
- Maintain positive relationships with key customers, medical professionals, and administrative teams.
- Manage event budgets (e.g., catering, speakers, workshops).
- Maintain detailed records of all customer contacts, preferences, and interaction history.
- Report significant business developments to the manager.
- Plan work schedules and timetables, coordinating with product specialists and the business unit manager.
- Participate in company meetings, technical presentations, and briefings.
- Stay updated on the latest clinical data and share this information with healthcare professionals.
- Monitor competitor activity and product offerings.
- Develop strategies to increase engagement and build relationships within the medical and healthcare sectors.
- Tertiary education in a relevant technical field or equivalent, with typically 5+ years of experience in medical device or related sales.
- Knowledge of ultrasound and imaging markets is a significant advantage.
- Strong business development mindset with the ability to approach challenges conceptually and strategically.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a natural ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
