AUSTCORP are seeking a Diesel Mechanic Trades Assistant to join a dynamic and growing company specializing in the servicing and maintenance of diesel-powered vehicles and equipment.  We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Diesel Mechanic Trades Assistant to join our team. Responsibilities:

• Assist Diesel Mechanics in routine maintenance and repair of diesel engines, trucks, and heavy machinery.
• Assist with dismantling and reassembling diesel engines and components.
• Maintain an organized and clean workshop environment, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored.
• Help with the delivery and collection of parts and materials as needed.
• Assist with safety checks and ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols.
• Maintain accurate records of work completed and parts used.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a mechanical environment
• Current Drivers Licence (MR/HR Preferrable)
• Strong interest in diesel mechanics
• Relevant Trade Qualifications (Cert III in Heavy vehicle tech, Cert III in Hydraulics etc or equivalent
• Good manual dexterity and a keen eye for detail.
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
• A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a busy environment.
• Construction Induction Card (White Card)
• Able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
• Basic knowledge of tools, equipment, and workshop safety procedures.
